Toyota is planning a 40-mpg hybrid version of the 2013 Toyota Avalon. The 2013 Avalon Hybrid will get the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and hybrid drivetrain as the 2013 Lexus ES300h. Toyota says that the 200-hp hybrid system in the 2013 Toyota Avalon will give the large car a 40-mpg rating.
