The 2012 Toyota Tundra and 2012 Nissan Titan are full-sized pickups from Japanese brands that made their names with tiny pickups that would be dwarfed by today’s massive workhorses. Toyota and Nissan have left the fuel efficient, tiny pickups behind and haven’t looked back, instead embracing the American buyer’s mantra ‘bigger is better.’ The Tundra and Titan are huge, V8 powered monsters that will tow and haul more than the 3/4 and 1-ton models of yesteryear.
