In what has to be one of the most bizarre and unexpected publicity stunts in automotive history, Lamborghini recently commissioned the Italian army to haul the carbon-fiber masterpiece on a platform suspended by cables from the a military helicopter. The Italian exotic marque says the stunt closed a conference entitled “Lamborghini and speed — a project in record time.” Okay then….
Lamborghini issued no explanation whatsoever of the deeper meaning of the Reventon’s unusual flight. In a statement about the stunt all Lamborghini did was note the fact that “all 20 units (of the Reventon) have been sold worldwide.” The Reventon, at the U.S. equivalent of $1.55 million, is the most expensive Lamborghini of all time. It is equipped with a 641-horsepower 6.5-liter DOHC V12 and has a top speed of 211 mph.
Right, so the point of this little stunt is still kinda hazy. Lamborghini remain tight lipped about the whole thing. You can make up your mind on what you think it is, here is the picture below:
Above: I’ve heard that Lamborghini’s fly, but this is ridiculous….
