Kia finally priced the 2026 EV9 like it wants normal three-row SUV shoppers, not just early adopters with a very healthy household income. In Kia’s official 2026 EV9 pricing announcement, the lineup starts at $54,900 for the Light SR and $57,900 for the Light Long Range before the $1,645 destination charge. That matters because once you cross 60 grand in family-SUV territory, people stop daydreaming and start cross-shopping everything from gas three-rows to lightly used luxury stuff.
The trim that makes the most sense still looks like the Light Long Range. Kia says it delivers up to 305 miles of range, which is a much more adult number than the base truck’s smaller-battery setup, and it gets you into a real three-row EV without jumping straight to Wind, Land, or GT-Line money. Spending about $3,000 more than the base trim for less charging anxiety on road trips and school-run duty feels a lot smarter than pretending a flashy appearance package is somehow a budgeting strategy.
If you do want the fancier version, Kia’s Nightfall Edition breakdown makes the Land a little more interesting than before. You get the blacked-out trim, unique interior touches, available six- or seven-passenger seating at no extra cost, and a Boost function that bumps torque to 516 lb.-ft. Nice stuff, sure, but most family buyers will notice the payment more than the extra attitude.
The bigger reason the EV9 still matters is simple: Kia’s EV9 overview page shows this thing is still one of the few mainstream three-row EVs that does not force shoppers into full luxury-brand pricing just to haul kids, gear, and grandparents. If you need max glam, the GT-Line is there. If you need a sensible family EV that can do the boring real-world jobs without turning into a $70,000-plus flex, the Light Long Range is the trim to start with.
