Ford’s long been the first in the pony car wars. But, in a way, that sort of puts them at a disadvantage. You see while Dodge and GM are just now releasing their new muscle cars, the Mustang has been out for a few years. This of course, does not sit well with Ford brass as they don’t want a 5 year old car competing with brand new machinery.
So for 2009 Ford is updating it’s best selling pony car to keep up. Due to be released as a 2010 model, the new Mustang will have updated styling and powertrains. Not much is known so far except that it will probably debut a version of Ford’s new EcoBoost Twin-Turbo V6.
